Seashell Mementos (Part II)

Please, please, please, check out my giveaways:

I pondered how to keep a sea shell collection special before.  While browsing the aisle of my local Family Dollar, I came across some frames that I though just might work for Catherine's first shell collection!

I purchased two of these white square shadow boxes that were meant to be completed home decor pieces (they had bird tiles inside).  At two bucks a piece, I thought they were "steals"!  They are made from wood composite, but the detailing looks very nice and the bright white is perfect for a shell collection!

I pried the back off using a butter knife.  Then I arranged Catherine's shells.  (If you try this, keep in mind that the shells will shift when it's upright, so hold the back in place and lift it up a couple of times!)  I reattached the back--using glue and tape because I managed to mangle the teeny tiny brads and didn't have any replacements.

I added Catherine's name, age, place, and time of visit to the back and it is already to hang on the wall!

I am a new Picket Fence Blog!
